Guardian Responsibilities

You, your student, and the Proud Smile are a team. We each have responsibilities to carry out our goal; help your student smile big and smile proud. The guardian's responsibilities are outlined below.

  1. Daily brushing and flossing.

    It would be a shame to develop gum disease during ortho treatment because your child didn’t do daily maintenance.

  2. Support your child

    Your child has many responsibilities in their treatment, please support them. Help them be accountable for their contributions and their ortho assignments

  3. Dental appointments

    It is so important for you to help your child get their teeth cleaned twice a year

  4. Monthly contributions

    If your plan includes monthly contributions please make these on time every month.

  5. Log volunteer work

    Log any volunteer work and help your child do the same

  6. Remember, the more your child puts toward their treatment the more they will value (and care for) their new smile
